What age is the show aimed at?
Mr Gotalot’s Pop-Up Shop is aimed at children aged 2 to 5 years old who are accompanied by an adult.
Mr Gotalot’s Gotalot Shop is aimed at families with children aged 3 to 9 years old.
Bob Random’s Shiny Quiz Time is for children aged 4 to 11 years old and their parents. Although you must be over 5 years of age to participate in the games on stage.
How long is the show?
All shows are approximately 45 minutes long. There is no interval.
Where is the show taking place?
Mr Gotalot’s Gotalot Shop is performed at The Kelvin Players Studio Theatre on Gloucester Road in Bishopston, Bristol. For more detailed information see our VENUE page.
Bob Random’s Shiny Quiz Time is performed at St Michael and All Saints Main Church Hall on Gloucester Road in Term Time and at the Kelvin Players Studio Theatre during the school holidays. For more detailed information see our VENUE page.
Mr Gotalot’s Pop-Up Shop is performed at The Kelvin Players Studio Theatre on Gloucester Road in Bishopston, Bristol. For more detailed information see our VENUE page.
How much are the tickets?
Mr Gotalot’s Gotalot Shop: Tickets cost £7 each for anyone over the age of 3 years old. A family ticket for four people is available for £25. The family group must contain at least one adult. Children under the age of 3 may enter for free and are welcome to sit on laps.
Bob Random’s Shiny Quiz Time: Tickets cost £5 each for anyone over the age of 5 years. Children under 5 years may watch the show for free but will not be able to participate on stage. Children must be accompanied by at least one paying adult.
Mr Gotalot’s Pop-Up Shop: Entry costs £5 per child aged 2 to 5 years old. Under 2 years pay £2.50. Unless you are a sibling accompanying another child in which case entry is free. Adults enter for free.
Where can I buy tickets?
You can purchase tickets online BOOK HERE, or in person on the door for twenty minutes before the performance begins. The Box Office can currently only take cash payments on the door. You can currently buy tickets in advance for Mr Gotalot’s Gotalot Shop main shows and Bob Random’s Shiny Quiz Time. Mr Gotalot’s Pop-Up Shop is a drop-in interactive theatre experience. Just turn up.
Where can I park?
There are no car parks near the venues but there is generally ample parking in the surrounding streets. Bishopston is not yet subject to the RPZ scheme.
Can I get to the venue using public transport?
The venues are situated directly on the Gloucester Road which is serviced by numerous bus routes. The bus stops, travelling from both the north and south, are in site of the theatre. See our VENUE page for the list of bus services.
Can I buy tickets on the door?
If a show has not previously sold out, then the remaining tickets will be available to buy on the door from twenty minutes before the performance begins. Please check our Facebook page for ticket updates. However, previously Mr Gotalot’s Gotalot Shop main shows have proved extremely popular with nearly ALL shows selling out well in advance. So we would STRONGLY advise you to book your tickets in advance while they are still available.
What is the disability access of the venue?
Both venues are accessible to wheelchairs. St Michael and All Saints Main Church Hall has a disabled toilet with a lift to access it. However, the Kelvin Players Studio Theatre currently has no disabled toilet facilities. Sorry!
Are refreshments available?
Refreshments are not currently available from either venue. However there are plenty of local coffee shops close by should you wish to bring something with you.
Is there a cloakroom / buggy park?
There is a room designated as a buggy park at the Kelvin Players Studio Theatre where you are welcome to leave your pushchairs, scooters etc. At St Michael’s buggies etc can be parked at the side of the hall. However, all items are left at the owners risk. Monkey Trousers Theatre cannot be held responsible for any loss, theft or damage to any personal property.
Are there any baby changing facilities at the venue?
There is a baby changing facility at St Michael’s Hall but there are currently no baby changing facilities at the Kelvin Players Studio Theatre. Sorry!
How much are the badges?
Mr Gotalot’s Gotalot Shop badges are £1 each and available to buy at all shows. Bob Random’s Shiny Quiz Time badges are not available to buy – for super, shiny winners only!
How much are the T-shirts?
Mr Gotalot’s Gotalot Shop T-shirts are £7 each and come in two designs. They are available to buy at all shows.
How much are the magnets?
Mr Gotalot’s Gotalot Shop magnets are £1.50 each and available to buy at all shows.
